About Toyama – This series of pruning shears are made by a company called Toyama Hamono in Sanjo, Niigata. They have been specialized in making pruning shears since the early 1860s. When Masashi-san was visiting us in the Summer of 2017, he had a few pruning shears from this company and gifted them to gardeners at Japanese garden and gardeners at the Japanese embassy. The handles for these pruning shears are drop forged and the edge is sharpened to beautiful convex.
